News: IPS Probationers trained in Jungle Warfare Technics.
One of our well wishers and Director of Sardar Vallabhai Patel National Police Academy has initiated for the first time Jungle Training for Indian Police Officers Probationers in the history of police training. The probationers have spent atleast three days in the jungle without camp tents, cooked food and/or packaged water. Two probationers slept close to a python all night without knowing it was there.
The jungle warfare training would definitely mould IPS officers and enable them to face ambush and counter ambush operations. With terrorism spreading all over the world and terrorist attacks on totally unexpected spots such as hotels and cricket grounds with the life of the public at large at stake, jungle warfare training would definitely enable police officers to handle terrorist attacks in a better perspective.
Mr. Vijayakumar is always known for adopting unique techniques and getting successful results where his predecessors have repeatedly failed has shown his skills once again. We are sure this pioneering exercise for IPS probationers would be engraved in golden letters in the annuls of National Police Academy.
